Cliff House – Newberry Springs, Ca. 7fr03

The former Cliff House was is located just a bit west of the Bagdad Cafe. The Cliff House has been here since at least the early 1920s and consisted of a gas station, cafe, cabins. Inside was the post office and a general store. The Greyhound and Continental Trailways bus companies also made stops here. In the mid 1950s it had the only telephone for the region making it a very popular place. In the mid-1980s the Newberry Market occupied the main building.
