Photographer C. W. Tucker's Home and Studio in Winter of 1896/97.

The lady in this photo is assumed to be Clarence's future wife Jennie Grace Doughty. As they were not married until July of 1897, it appears she must be visiting from Lordsburg, California. The tent is of typical construction of the time. It cost about five dollars to construct one of these at a time. Many a home owner has been surprised to find that when they tear into the walls of their house to remodel the old shack, that there is canvas in the walls. This is because the house was built around the tent, thereby avoiding the need to relocate while upgrading their house. You can easily see his photographic work posted on his studio/darkroom to advertise to local citizens.
