Bonanza King Formation

1,000 foot thick. Another chemically precipitated dolomite formed in a marine setting. The dark rock is carbonate, while the white material is fecal matter from worms. 500 million years old.

Phanerzoic eon > Paleozoic era > Cambrian period > Furongian epoch > Paibian age

Fossil Notes
The only fossiliferous bed is shale below limestone member neat middle of formation. This shale contains linguloid brachiopods and trilobite trash beds with fragments of Ehmaniella.
