Soda Springs

Soda Springs, at Soda Dry Lake near today’s Zzyzx, was a critical water stop on the Mojave Road. In 1863 it offered dependable water where the flats offered little mercy. For many parties, reaching these springs was the difference between discomfort and disaster.
