It’s surrounded by the lively town of Big Bear, which has many restaurants, shops, and accommodations. Green Valley Lake – Tucked away in the mountains, Green Valley Lake is a peaceful, smaller lake ideal for fishing, swimming, paddleboarding, and kayaking. The lack of motorboats keeps it calm and serene. While access to the lake itself is restricted, visitors can enjoy the nearby Lake Arrowhead Village, which has shopping, dining, and year-round events, along with hiking in the surrounding national forest. Lake Gregory – Located in the town of Crestline, Lake Gregory is a smaller, family-friendly lake that’s great for swimming, fishing, paddleboarding, and even enjoying a seasonal water park. The lake also has picnic areas and trails for a more relaxing outdoor experience. Silverwood Lake – A popular spot for fishing, boating, swimming, and camping, Silverwood Lake is part of the California State Water Project. The lake has several trails for hiking, including some that offer excellent birdwatching and wildlife observation opportunities. |
