San Gorgonio Wilderness Trek

"Take a walk on the wild side." This high elevation adventure offers solitude and great 360 degree views. The San Gorgonio Wilderness is considered the Alps of Southern California. San Gorgonio Peak is the tallest mountain peak south of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Sometimes snow remains there all year long! The wilderness offers hundreds of miles of walking and hiking trails, terrific views and waterfalls. Keep an eye out for the tiny plants adapted to life in their dry and cold environment.

Points of Interest:
Remote camping (permit required); San Gorgonio and San Bernardino Peaks; sightings of Bighorn Sheep; endless miles of trails for hiking and horseback riding (permit required); John's Meadow; Dollar and Dry Lakes; Aspen Grove; Kitching Peak
