Pine Knot Trail

Hike the Pine Knot Trail through the lush forest of White Fir and Jeffrey Pines from Big Bear to the ridgeline for scenic vistas of San Gorgonio and the Santa Ana River Valley. The trail continues into the Santa Ana drainage ending at Converse Fire Station.

Season: Year-round (check trail conditions)

Audience: Families, active adults, hikers, mountain bikers, equestrians, cross-country skiers, snowshoers

Degree of Difficulty: Moderate

Duration: 6 miles round trip to the ridge and back. 1,200 foot elevation gain

Points of Interest: Aspen Glen Picnic Area; Grand View Point (panorama of San Bernardino Mountains); views of Big Bear Lake; mature conifer forests
