Mount Lowe Trail CampEl. 4,500'Open year-round 5 Sites Hike-in only. Stream water (treat before using) - however, water flow may be low or non-existent due to reduced rainfall. Vault toilets. Campsites are first come - first served. One hitching rail for horses. Interagency Pass or Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked at trailhead. Location: From Interstate 210 in Pasadena, exit Lake Ave. and go north to Loma Alta Dr. Turn west (left) on Loma Alta and drive to the Chaney Trail (flashing yellow light). From locked gate hike 4-5 miles on road which follows old railroad bed to the trail camp. Call (818) 899-1900 for current conditions and additional information. Source - USFS |
