Snow - Running Springs

Snow Valley

Founded near the town of Running Springs in the San Bernardino Mountains, Snow Valley is one of the oldest ski resorts in Southern California. Originally called Fish Camp back in the 1920s, the resort took on a winter emphasize in the 1930s and actually was one of the first to install a chairlift. The place offers gentle slopes for the novice, more challenging runs for the advanced, and even a snow play area for those not skiing. Hiking and mountain biking come in the summer. Reached easily via Highway 18, Snow Valley has maintained its family-friendly atmosphere and views of mountains and Mojave Desert. It remains a year-round favorite for outdoor fun and adventure.
