The Adobe Building

After a fire claimed the original T&T Railroad restaurant in 1925, the railroad's own bridge crew stepped in to rebuild—using adobe bricks they made right there on-site. The result was the sturdy Adobe Building, which served meals to locals and travelers alike for years. When the Red Buggy Cafe (Crowbar) opened next door, the spotlight shifted, but the Adobe Building remains a proud piece of Shoshone’s rail-era past. Red Buggy Cafe was built next door.
