Next South of Spirit Mountain, a place sacred to the Aha Macav (Mojave), a canyon is filled with drawings and carvings in the stone. Although petroglyphs are exceedingly complicated to date, it is believed the etchings date back as far as 800 years and some may have been created as recently as 100-150 years ago.
