The Oro Grande Pioneer Cemetery is an historical cemetery that provides insight into the early years of Oro Grande, California, a town based on mining and railway expansion. This cemetery is simple in character, rugged, and very similar to many pioneer cemeteries that provided a final resting place for early settlers and miners. Burials to this site took place from the late 19th to the early 20th century, representing tombstones and markers that speak to the area's history.

Oro Grande itself was established along the Mojave River and became a key stop along Route 66; the cemetery is a poignany reminder of the lives of those who helped build up the town. It's a quiet, historic place where one can get a glimpse of trials and resilience of people who shaped the region. It also draws local history buffs, as many of the names on the markers are associated with Oro Grande's mining heritage and early settlement days in the Mojave Desert.
