Shoshone Museum



Built in 1906 in Greenwater, the building was moved to Shoshone in 1920. The museum features the skeletal remains of a prehistoric Mammoth found nearby as well as local history and Death Valley information.

The sample rocks in this tour are only "some" of the major geologic formations in the Death Valley area. Displayed in order from oldest to youngest, they show evidence of the complex geology of the area.
