Day Hikes in Death Valley

 Keane Wonder Mine Trail (Photo Tour)

Length : 1 mile, one-way.
Difficulty : strenuous

Description : Steep narrow trail from mill ruins to mine 1,500' above. Sweeping views of Death Valley. Do not enter any mines - they are unstable and hazardous. An alternative hike in the same area is to Keane Wonder Spring at the base of the mountains 1 mile north of the mill trailhead.

Start : Keane Wonder Mill parking area, 3 miles off Beatty Cutoff Road on graded gravel road.
