Black Canyon Petroglyphs

Very few are easily found. Scrambling over rocks and short hikes are required. Many of these seemed to be older and more complicated in design than the most of the sites I've visited. Some have claimed that use of this area goes back about 8,000 years. Nearby the ancestral Harper Lake at one time contained water, but it is unlikely that it was perennial during the time of human habitation.
