Arch Rock Geology Tour

Introduction

It is easy to wonder how this strange landscape, with its protruding boulders and high plateaus came to be. Geologists study the origin, history, and structure of the Earth and have been coming to this area for a long time wondering about these same things. They have been able to put some of the intricate pieces of the puzzle together by recognizing the present as the key to the past. By taking a detailed look at the rocks and processes in motion today, we can discover how the land came to be.
