Titus Canyon
A Climactic Ending: The End of the CanyonThe unidirectional thoroughfare that traverses Titus Canyon culminates in a breathtaking panorama of Death Valley. Southward, Tucki Mountain and the adjacent sand dunes by Stovepipe Wells come into view. Westward, the rugged Cottonwood Mountains are visible. Looking back, the entry point into the canyon is almost invisible from the floor of the valley. This is because the canyon is sinuous and meandering in its lower course and thus its opening is hidden from view.< back - index - forward > |
