Coyote > Tracks & Dens

Coyote tracks look much like an ordinary dog's except the foot is narrower and the two outside pads are larger. The front track will be slightly larger than the rear. Coyotes make their dens along river banks, and well-drained sides of canyons and washes - often enlarging tortoise or squirrel burrows, cool places where they can sit out the heat of the day. Remember, if you find a coyote, keep your distance. They are wild animals and should be respected as such.
