Deserts are harsh ecosystems characterized by low precipitation levels and extreme temperatures. Despite these challenging conditions, various microhabitats exist within deserts, providing specialized plants and animals with niches to thrive. Here are some examples of desert microhabitats:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Shade of Rocks or Sand Dunes:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Some plants and animals find refuge in the shade provided by rocks or dunes, where temperatures are slightly lower.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rock Crevices:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gaps and crevices in rocks can offer protection from the sun and wind.
