The Way of Things

Fout's Garage - Located a mile or so away, near the Mojave River by Daggett-Yermo Road the building was used as a roundhouse for the Waterloo Mill and Mining Company equipment used to haul ore from Calico. Used as a livery stable for many years, it then became a gas-buggy garage and on to a grocery store with a dirt floor. Parts of the "Grocery" store signage may still be seen. Finally, in the 1940's the building became Fout's Garage.
